SYNOPSIS

After the death of her bandmate and husband, former rock star Marcella is adrift: struggling to keep their musical legacy alive, and raising their teenage daughter alone. When a voice from the past comes calling, Marcella remembers a fateful day fifteen years earlier that could have changed everything.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

JUST CALL HER is a story we don’t see on screen very often, but one that most women in their 40s can relate to. It’s a romantic drama that’s not just about connection to someone else.  It’s about the whole lifetime of choices and ambitions we had to balance to become the best version of ourselves we knew we could be. JUST CALL HER is for all the Elder Millennial moms out there who did it all: played our music to sold-out crowds at top international rock venues; had our records shelved by rapacious record labels; pivoted to being music teachers; started a family and all the while wondered “what if?” about that one guy we spent a perfect day with back in 2010.
